Welcome to Mama Noots Backabush, an environmentally friendly resort located in Southern Belize, within The Mayflower Bocawina National Park - home to the unexcavated ruins of the Mayflower Archaeological site; an extensive trail system and numerous magnificent waterfalls. We are 4 miles off mile 6 on the Southern Highway and invite you to explore the natural wonders of Southern Belize while staying in an energy saving, self-sufficient paradise.

Accommodations:
Rest in comfort on orthopedic queen size beds, screened rooms with ceiling fans, and private baths, verandah vista of Antelope Falls and take power naps in shaded hammocks. We have three family cabanas and a lodge that has six double rooms, all is smoke - free.

Restaurant & Bar
Our restaurant and bar is the ideal place to hang out and relax after a long day of adventure and fun. The restaurant caters local cultured dishes which are prepared with fresh fruits and vegetables from our garden. The bar serves Royal Reserve; my families aged rum, local and international beverages, but nothing quenches your thirst better than an ice cold "Lime Shake Up".

Natures Energy Source
Providing clean, reliable, renewed energy to the lush, landscaped, jungle setting was one of my major concerns when I first decided to construct Mama Noots. Although we are located four miles off the grid, solar, micro hydro and a backup generator now continuously keep electric lights, fans and the pure mountain spring water flowing into the scattered cabanas, lodge and restaurant. Our dedication to energy conservation and a desire for independence are reflected in the creative energy designs on the property. Non- intrusive, the utilities are unquestionably a quality masterpiece.
